As technology rapidly transformed how people learn, work, communicate, and build businesses, it became increasingly clear that many individuals and communities lacked the digital skills, confidence, and connections needed to participate in an evolving economy.
Caroline Sanchez Crozier founded Digital Leaders Now in 2019 because she believes the brilliance and innovation in every community, regardless of zip code or background, deserves a real path into the digital economy.
She has been intentional about bringing that mission home, working collectively with leadership in her own Village of Summit, from the mayor to school and community leaders, to shape and advance the community's use of technology together.
That model, of connecting communities to the leaders who can help transform them, is what DLN is now working to replicate across similar communities statewide, and she welcomes others who share that same commitment to paying it forward to join in the work.
The answer traces back to her own story. Caroline has spent more than three decades in technology, building CSC Consulting Group from the ground up starting in 1988 and working alongside partners and school systems across Illinois.
As an immigrant from Mexico and the first in her family to go to college, she built a solid business foundation first, spending eight years in corporate as a CPA, and has long been engaged in civic life, including as trustee emerita at Dominican University, well before founding a nonprofit. Along the way, she kept seeing the same gap: for immigrants and communities like the Village of Summit, where she grew up, growth in representation
