Demetrio ‘D’ Garcia is a seasoned GLOCAL (local and global) executive with over thirty (30) years of national and international experience in Engineering, Business Development, Corporate and Government relations and non-for-profit leadership. He is a former Airline and Airport
Engineering executive and road warrior who has lived and work in multiple countries and continents. As an entrepreneur and investor, he currently is a partner and advisor to various companies and has been a board member on several local and national organizations for many years.

He is currently a partner and Vice President of Business and External Affairs with Golden Hill Foods, a global supplier of specialty food ingredients and solutions to the food manufacturing and processing industry. Golden Hill Foods is a proud and trusted supply chain partner with McDonalds, Starbucks, Walmart and other know global brands and companies. D also is a company advisor to Falco Systems, a start-up tech company in Airport Biometrics and Digital Facial recognition technology and a board member advisor to an E-learning and educational consulting company called Think Virtues, whose purpose is to help people tap into their full potential and create a positive impact for the
world.

Demetrio is a known Master Connector and networker across many industries with C-Suite executives, business owners, corporate, civic chambers, and non-for-profit organizations and leaders. His five (5) minutes of fame was appearing in a front-page article of the Wall Street of Americas in the late 1990s. He has been interviewed in national publications like Hispanic Executive Magazine and was recognized by Negocios Now Magazine, as one of Chicago’s Who’s Who in Hispanic Power and a recipient of the Latino Leaders Magazine Chicago Maestros Leadership award.

A native of Chicago and an Engineering graduate from the University of Illinois, he continues to invest, support and mentor students and young professionals via organizations like ALPFA, SHPE, Scouting America and others. He also supports the Barrio Foundation (From the Barrio to the Boardroom) to mentor gang members and underprivileged youth to turn their lives around into future and productive leaders.

He is fluent in Spanish and speaks conversational Portuguese and Italian. He lives in Chicago with his wife who is a grammar school Principal, and they have two adult children.
