Latinx Digital Leaders Now Launches Free Monthly Tech & Digital Literacy Workshops in Summit, IL
Summit, IL — Latinx Digital Leaders Now (DLN) is proud to announce the launch of a new series of free monthly digital literacy workshops for residents of Summit and surrounding areas, running through January 2026. Designed for adult learners, students, and small business owners, these workshops will equip community members with the skills and confidence needed to thrive in today’s digital world. To celebrate the launch, DLN invites the community to the Community Tech Kick-Off, a free, family-friendly event on Thursday, July 24th from 5–7 PM at the Summit Park District. Attendees will enjoy interactive tech-themed games, activity stations, prizes, and refreshments. The event sets the tone for an inclusive, hands-on learning experience DLN will continue to deliver in the months ahead.
Upcoming workshop topics include:
- Small Business Tech Night – Practical tools for entrepreneurs and small business owners
- Cyber Awareness For All – Learn how to stay safe and secure online
- Smart Tools for School Success – Help students and families thrive with tech at home and in school
Depending on the event, workshops will be held at the Summit Park District and the Summit Public Library District. All sessions will be bilingual and culturally relevant, offered in partnership with trusted local organizations, including the Village of Summit, Summit Park District, Summit Public Library District, Summit Community Network, and Cook County Office of the President.
This initiative is supported by the Cook County IMPACT Grant and advances the Confidence cornerstone of the Cook County Digital Equity Plan. By directly addressing digital literacy gaps among Latinx and other underserved populations in suburban Summit, DLN is helping residents build the confidence to access services, protect themselves online, and fully participate in today’s digital world.
“Having grown up in the Summit community after arriving with my family as an immigrant, it gives me great pride to pay it forward by helping expand digital access and opportunity for families like mine,” said Caroline Sanchez Crozier, CEO & Founder of Latinx Digital Leaders Now.
